As good a short, (very) concise summary of Title VII’s prohibition against religious discrimination in employment as can be found that is useful for employers is found in Brad Reid’s Huff Post Business “The Blog,” in a three-page piece titled “A Legal Overview of Religious Discrimination in Employment.”

Child, Reading, Bible, Bed, African

This is a whirlwind, three-minute course on the subject, in which he discusses topics such what is a religion, the sincerity of belief, examples of such discrimination, the ministerial exception, and the necessary complaint and legal procedures.  He also provides a few short, handy lists which can be snipped out relating to the interactive process required to determine accommodations, and determining reasonable accommodations.

If nothing else, it a quick refresher to read while you sip your first cup of coffee before you go back to the trenches.
